About the Foundation
International Advisory Board
The purpose of the International Advisory Board is to provide a resource of high level knowledge, science and research that can be called upon in support of the vision of the Dementia Foundation for Spark of Life »
The board consists of key international experts in different fields who all respectfully challenge the status quo and have a genuine interest in improving the lives of people with dementia. Each has a talent of communicating complex areas of knowledge in the public and media arena in a way that is easy to understand. They all have the gift to inspire others to envisage a different future.
The role of the International Advisory Board is to provide advice and guidence when questions related to their particular area of expertise.
Peter Whitehouse MD, PhD
Peter J. Whitehouse, MD, PhD is Professor of Neurology as well as current or former Professor of Cognitive Science, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Psychology, Nursing, Organizational Behavior, Bioethics and History. His is also a member of the faculty of the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value at the Weatherhead School of Management. Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE
Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE is Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Oxford, the Director of the Oxford Centre
for the Science of the Mind and was the Director of the Royal Institution of Great Britain 1998 - 2010 (the first woman to hold that position).
Baroness Sally Greengross
Sally Greengross has been a crossbench (independent) member of the House of Lords since 2000 and chairs four All-Party Parliamentary Groups: Dementia, Corporate Social Responsibility, Intergenerational Futures: Old & Young Together and Continence Care. She is Treasurer of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Equalities. Sally is Chief Executive of the International Longevity Centre – UK and in December 2006, she was announced as a Commissioner for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

G. Allen Power, MD is Eden Mentor at St. John’s Home in Rochester, New York, USA, and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester. He is a board certified internist and geriatrician, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians / American Society for Internal Medicine.
Dr. Power is a Certified Eden Alternative® Educator and a member of the Eden Alternative board of directors.
